Our History
Together, as one family, Abrusley Ashy Group stands today as one extremely versatile group of companies within a wide sector of industries of business. Gaining its roots in 1983, when Wedad Abrusley, who still sits as current President of food distribution, founded Oasis Foods Service with her husband, Edward Abrusley. Wedad, a Syrian born immigrant, moved in her late teens to the United States and eventually found herself settled with her husband and new family in Louisiana. Having lost her husband Edward in 2015, Wedad continues to reside as President of Oasis Foods, along with her children, extended family and team of dedicated staff.
Currently, Abrusley Ashy Group is overseen by Shadi Abrusley and his wife, Nour Shadid Abrusley. With a lifetime of food wholesale distribution experience, Shadi Abrusley has taken the group of companies, dating back to 2006, to all sectors of the industry and beyond. Today, AAG both operates and has affiliate partnerships with companies within the beverage, construction, distribution, food service sales & brokerage, real estate, insurance, financial services, mechant processing, bsuiness services, graphic design & marketing, manufacturing and retail industries, with main office location in Louisiana, along with satellite offices and warehousing locations across Louisiana and Texas. With direct customers across the Southern United States, AAG works with a network of cooperative companies and affiliate companies, which leave a large footprint for business across the United States in the distribution, beverage and manufacturing industries and the ability to service customers in the near future Globally within many business sectors.
